Welcome to SoundScribe!

1. Sign Up

   When you first download SoundScribe and open the app, you will be greeted with the Sign-Up screen. Afterward, you will receive an email asking you to verify your email by pressing the link sent in the email.

2. Log In

   After you verify your email, press the "Log In Instead" on the screen and then press "Log In".

3. Set your username

   After you log in, you will be asked to set your username. After you type your username click "Proceed to SoundScribe" and you will be on your profile page.

Explore

1. Your Profile

   On the profile page you are able to add a bio by clicking on the "Change Bio" button. To add your favorite artist, click on the "Change Artist" button. You can also add a profile picture by clicking on the plus button and you can take a picture or upload one.

2. Home Page

   On the bottom navigation bar, you can click on the house icon to go to the home screen where you can see today's album releases. Each album is presented with its cover art and title. Each album displayed includes an 'Open Spotify' button. Clicking this button will take you directly to the album on Spotify, allowing for immediate listening and exploration.

3. Search for Friends or Artists

   On the bottom navigation bar, you can click on the magnifying glass icon to open the search screen. When looking for new users, switch the toggle to "Users" side and type a user's username and click "go" button. Click on one of the usernames to go to that user's profile and you can follow them by clicking on the "follow" button. When looking for an artist, switch the toggle to "Artists" side and type the artist's name and click "go" button. Click on the artist's name to go to the artist's page where you can see their album. If clicked on an album, you will be redirected to that album on Spotify, allowing you to listen to it directly.

Additional Features

1. Make a Post

   On the bottom navigation bar, you can click on the Plus Icon. Click on the "Create a title!" field to give your post a compelling headline that captures the essence of your message or topic. Below the title field, tap into the "Create a new musical discussion!" area to draft the content of your post. Once your post is titled and written, tap the 'Post' button to share it with the SoundScribe community. It will then appear in the Feed where other users can interact with it.

2. Interact with the Feed

   On the bottom navigation bar, you can click on the Compass Icon. You will see the post of other users and when clicked on a post you can see the full post. Click on the Post and to reply click on the "Reply" button. Type your reply and then click on the Post button. Then refresh the feed by clicking on the "Refresh" button at the top of the page.

3. Settings

   To go to settings, click on the "Person Icon" on the navigation bar to go to the profile page. On the profile page click on the gear icon in the top right corner to enter the Settings menu. You can change your username by clicking 'Change Username', then enter your desired new username and follow the prompts to confirm the change. Select 'Reset Password' to initiate the password change procedure. You'll be guided through steps to ensure your account remains secure. To safely exit your SoundScribe session, click 'Sign Out' to log out of the app.
